After a lifetime fascination with the Whakamahia Coast and Wairoa river mouth, Wairoa born local Futch Couper convinced his patient wife, Andrea, to build their dream home on ten acres of prime coastal land. With uninterrupted views from Mahia Peninsula and Portland Island through to Cape Kidnappers and Te Mata Peak in the South of Hawkes Bay. This is the ideal location for the corporate visitor or holiday maker. It has a lovely outlook to conduct discreet business meetings and is within 4 km of the centre of town.
There are unlimited opportunities to use their home as a base for the districts many attractions. From visiting Lake Waikaremoana and Te Urewera, Morere Hot Springs and Fly Fishing. If relaxing doesnt take your fancy get your hands dirty and hunt deer, goats or wild boar. Not to forget salt water fishing at your doorstep, off a boat or from the beach. Diving for Crayfish, Paua or Spearfishing and a Surf if there is any daylight left. At the end of the day while taking in the sunset sit back with cold beer or wine and hopefully catch NZs next rocket launch.
